Centralized location
Montemor-o-Velho is located in Portugal’s central region, only 25 minutes from Coimbra, 15 from Figueira da Foz, 2 hours from Lisbon and one hour and half from Oporto.
Nautical Center
The main track, 2000 meters long, 135 meters wide and 3,5 meters deep, has a direct access to two secondary channels – the return track and the cooling channel – covering a total of 50 hectares of navigable area. It is a still water plane, with neutral currents and a wind barrier, which, combined with continuous atmospheric monitoring, provides optimal conditions for high-performance nautical training. It also features approximately 8 km of cycle paths around the facility and along the water surface, as well as a technical support track, a renovated finish tower, a gym, technical and medical offices, training optimization and wellness services, meeting room, changing rooms, and toilets, support and storage spaces.
High-Performance Sports Center
The High-Performance Sports Center, located at Montemor-o-Velho's Nautical Center, provides excellent conditions to host canoeing, swimming, rowing, and triathlon competitions and training. It also offers exceptional versatility for other sports such as sport fishing, cycling, motor racing, motorcycling, aeromodeling, among others. Additionally, the Nautical Center invites the entire population to engage in informal physical activity free of charge.
